  1. E.Alpine: Thanks for sharing with us! If you know depression is a consistent issue in your well-being, then I suggest you connect with campus health services. Generally speaking as a student you have access to a range of services at student rates. I would suggest contacting someone there to begin work on your depression. You may also find that your depression and anxiety may be the result of some lifestyle choices. If that is the case, then changing your habits can also help.
  2. Jam-Jam: I know it's difficult to do right now, but just try to relax. You are who you are, and if that happens to be straight, bi-sexual, or gay, then so be it. Just be yourself. Don't conform to something you're not. Avoid labelling yourself at this time too. Best not to lie to yourself. You're also pretty young so I imagine you might be obsessing over getting laid for the time being. Don't forget the other areas of your life, like school, work, friends, and family.
  3. Artesia: I suggest you start reviewing your lifestyle for habits that may be hindering you. Are you sleeping regularly on a schedule? Are you eating in or are you eating out? Are you eating a balanced diet? If you find your lifestyle lacking in the health department then I'd suggest you start there. As a warning though, changes to this part of your life may lead to a period of "detox". When you regularly eat junk and you suddenly switch to eating clean, you can experience a range of symptoms that include headaches, nausea, depression, indigestion, insomnia, lethargy...you name it. Each person is different so you won't know what you end up going through and for how long. About your last year of university, congratulations for reaching this stage. I will remind you though that this process is a milestone, but not a finish line. I have colleagues who have continued with their education long after they finished their first degrees. They are very successful by any measure, but their journey through university continued.... Yours may as well.
  4. Hi Aaron, how are things? I'm sorry to hear things are not so good with your parents. What have you been up to?
  5. Aaron, what has happened to make you feel like you want a gun? No one is blaming you for making posts. In fact, we invite people to share their thoughts. But, we're also asking that they be written with other people in mind. If you are angry, tell us about it. But, remember that everyone who chooses to post here also follows the rules. You are right that it is our choice to look at your posts. However, we also have a similar expectations about what we find in those posts. We understand your circumstances, and we feel for you. But, people are here to both help and to seek help. These feelings you are sharing are strong and hurtful. I'm not saying anything about you personally, Aaron. I'm sure everyone respects where you are coming from. But, look around at the other posts. Swearing and blaming other members is not the norm here. Of course, if the problem you post is about swearing and other members, then I'd understand if I find four letter words that are not so neighbourly But, even then, there has to be some respect. I'm sorry if I am too preachy. I just wanted to put that out there.
  6. I was referring to the artificial hip replacement.
  7. Oh I bet you don't have time to read nonschool stuff:p! Someday the schooling will be over though, and you might have some time to yourself... ok, maybe.. My friend that runs also recommends the Chi of Running, or something like that. She says it is very, very good.

  8. Indeed, all is well. I wanted to slip in a word before things geared up once more. I noted your suggestion about Born to Run and will make a note to read it. I have heard good things about the book.

  9. Kaudio!!!! Long time no see!!! Hope all is well with you. I know that school and work can really take a person over. Take care! :)

  10. I see. Have you decided to go down that route?
  11. Hi finding, I just wanted to pop by and say hello. Best wishes and talk to you later.

  12. That's good you are feeling better, Aaron. Is there anything that you can do to address your hip problem? Sounds like it is starting to disrupt your quality of life since you're in such pain. If the first doctor doesn't cut it, go to another one for a second opinion. The important thing is to at least fix the cause of the pain so you can do other things. Running and karate are just a few ways of keeping fit. You can find other options that have less impact - like swimming.
  13. Hi Aaron, sorry to hear you had a tough time yesterday. I hope today is a little better. What's wrong with your hip? Are you okay now? You may already know this, but to be clear, there are plenty of members here who are worried about you. Whatever it is you are going through, we'll be here to listen and to share our thoughts. But, you have to do us a little favor and remember we're all human too. This energy you are putting out is pretty heavy. Take care, buddy.

Alternatively, you could look at the lease agreement yourself concerning advance notice. Regardless, I'd just contact the property management company and call them out on it. If they informed you of their decision not to renew the lease without giving you enough time to provide advance notice, then explain to them that that would be inherently unfair.
  15. JerseyFoo, we are talking about a 12 year old child. The motives behind searching for college boy physical or gay cowboy naked and one's sexual orientation are two different matters. Also, the thread is about a parent's concern for her 12 year old son and his viewing of internet porn. The topic is not intended as a direct attack at the porn industry itself. Lastly, a 12 year old may not share the same common sense as you do. While you may be a savvy computer user/netizen, not everyone is. I fail to see the humour in laughing about someone's unfamiliarity with computers.
