Feb 2, a day to celebrate mindfulness

Feb 2 is a great day to promote mindfulness awareness because of the movie Groundhog Day, starring Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell. The main character has to relive Groundhog Day over and over until he starts to "get" what being in the present is all about.

Does anyone want to share a mindfulness practice they have tried?

It's one of those movies I've heard about, but have always missed. I'll have to watch sometime.

Mindfulness practices. I find meditation very helpful. I also enjoy sitting in nature. Both of these activities bring me into the present. Sometimes even just stopping for a moment, closing my eyes and taking a deep breath can feel calming.
