My daughter got an offer today on the cao to do legal studies, but she is going to stick with her fetac course on social studies.

Yeah it was on the cao!!! i did my leaving last year and prepared an art portfolio during that year in school aswel but i didn't get into the college i wanted to get into so i did an art fetac course instead and reapplied again this year and got what i wanted!!! plc courses are the best!!! your daughter will have a great year. i learnt lots during my year:) I think most plc's start at the end of august. i'm not sure when exactly i'll be starting but i'm guessing it will be near the end of september.. yep, it'll be my first time living away from home and i can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!

whoops sorry malign, that's irish talk!!! fetac stands for Further Education and Training Awards Council and cao stands for...................i dunno what cao stands for!!! i didn't know what fetac standed for until i googled it a few seconds ago...!!! sorry i'm bad at explaining stuff!!

Cao = Central Applications Office - who process applications for first year undergraduate courses. And yes I did have to google it!

PLC = Post Leaving Certificate Course (i think)
