Not at the moment. My wife kept the two cats. I didn't want to pay extra for the apartment to let me have a pet.

I don't see them often, just once or twice since February, when I went over to the house. And of course, the drawback is that I have to deal with my wife for that to happen. ;-)

I'm not that lonely, in my apartment, but then, there isn't someone downstairs who's mean to me. I wish you had a pet, too.

Yeah, her work has started up again, and it takes a lot out of her. So it's up to me to cheer our girls up until she gets settled.

i don't have a barn. i'd probably let them live in the house.

I dunno; horses, donkeys and zebras are all ruminants. Good fertilizer, but not a nice way to treat your carpets.

what are ruminants?

Mammals that chew their cud (and have multiple stomachs). The grass goes into their first stomach, gets digested, and then they bring it back into their mouths to chew it some more. It lets them digest more of the good stuff in the grass.

Yah well. No one said you had to do it.

It works for them: grass isn't that nourishing otherwise. So they have adapted to make better use of what available.

It beats being a dung beetle. :-)
