i feel so unhappy right now. but that's nothing new i suppose. i feel so stuck and horrible horrible horrible. all my roomates are gone out to a party. i stayed home to try get some art done. i've been sitting staring at a blank sheet of paper for 2 hours now. i'm so uninspired. i was like this during the summer too. i hoped eveything would go back to normal and i'd be able to not be so blocked when i started college but i'm still the same. i really don't know what to do. i have no interest in what i'm doing right now.. i wish it was easier for me to motivate myself. this sucks. i feel very guilty. i obviously shouldn't be in this college. i think i might leave. i wonder if i were to run away on my own right now, what would happen? i could just disappear, noone would notice anyway, and move to somewhere else in ireland where noone knows me and i wouldn't have to go to college. i want to disappear.

"Imbibe" means "drink", sweety.

Meh, I dunno, sometime I think all the silly brain cells are gone, then they come back and the serious ones go. I think your brain cells just like to take turns using the brain.

Real brain cells don't grow back, no, but they don't pop that easily either. High concentrations of alcohol can kill them, though. That's why the liver cells give up their lives first, trying to keep your brain alive.

Yay, work! I bet it beats sitting around in your room back home.

Well, he did have the luxury of being the one who made the rules.

I think your brain starts to pull a vacuum and your head implodes and then there's no room for your face and it falls off and you have to search around for it with your hands and hold it up in front of the stump of your head while you go to the doctors to get it re-inflated.

Or maybe you just die, I don't remember. :-P

Actually, as I understand it, we all are.

The trick is to control the timing as best you can.

And what you do with your life while you have it.

Because I'm afraid you do have to give it back when you're done using it.

Well, personally, I don't see the fact of death as making life pointless. Is it fun to run around laughing? Yes. Does it make anything permanent? No. Why is "permanent" the definition of "worthwhile"?

Isn't it something to know that you've touched people's lives in a positive way? That you might have left children or friends or whoever, better than when you found them?

Now, yeah, it may make it pointless to work too hard, but that brings up the question, what is the work for? Maybe you are working too hard.

But this is also just my own philosophy, kids. Lots of people believe differently than I do, and they're entitled. This is just what works for me.

Blossom, I was teasing you: a carnation is also a flower. I just picked two others at random. Besides, what makes a weed a weed? Just the fact that some people don't like them. Dandelions are quite useful, in fact. You can eat or make a tea out of the root, for instance. It's just that their leaves are ugly in a lawn, so we call them weeds.

Humans are weird: we give a lily more value than a dandelion, just because we like it more than the other. Who are we to choose? You should see 'finding's garden. She goes out and finds spectacular plants that most people would call weeds and plants them and makes them grow.

Hey, there she is now!
