Well, the ones you heard in Tennessee are definitely stronger, more Southern.

We have about as many identifiable accents as England (maybe fewer), but spread over a country many times larger. We travel around and mix more.

my mom is from north jersy, my dad from philadelphia, I say I don'tt have an accent (it's everyone else that has the accents!)
