Heh. Well ... maybe you'll find you like it, eventually. Or maybe you'll end up agreeing with her. Maybe you'll start a school of your own. Life is full of odd possibilities.

When I was your age, the idea that I might be able to help people by talking to them, even on a computer, would have seemed insane. :-)

i've been thinking... i think i'd rather be a self taught artist.

Lots of things show that I've grown as a person. For instance, I keep having to loosen my belt ... ;-)

The thing is, the only self-taught artists are the starving kind, who have to find someone to buy each piece. The ones who can find enough to eat are the commercial artists and designers, but all of them work for someone else, and that usually means bringing some school experience on their resume (you guys say 'CV'.)

I'm not saying you can't be self-taught; I just think the school experience could help you, if you can deal with it.

But even I can make cookies from a recipe, and I microwave most of the time.

Making the decorations is more a matter of learning how to handle the ... decorating things, I don't know what they're called, like tubes of icing and stuff.

oh that would be fun!! i have a cousin that is doing that in college:)

well, it's not just for decorating food, that's just one of the courses there!!

but i've seen some of the food she decorated and it looks really cool:)

Mmm, my brother's wife took a cake-decorating course, once. Some people can make very beautiful things that way. If I tried, the best people could say is, "Well, at least it's still edible." :-)

i bet if i tried, it would be a disaster!!!
