There is a relatively new treatment for those with recurring depression, called Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy for Depression (MBCT). It is for people with a long struggle with depression, who sadly may have a risk of relapse. It is an 8-week group treatment. I offer it in NYC, but others offer it around the country. Please let me know if you have any questions. There is some information at my website, DonaldFleck.com, and more general information at a website called MBCT. Take good care, Donald Fleck DCSW

Donald,

Maybe you can describe this therapy in some more detail? It'd be really nice to have your input into it as a professional therapist.

FYI: We've recently interviewed Stefanie Goldstein, Ph.D. regarding a similar mindfulness therapy for addiction so people interested in this topic may be interested in listening to that podcast.
