Bluerose Posted January 19, 2010 Author Report Share Posted January 19, 2010 I just got a text. “I would like to cordially invite you to your own birthday party at my place tomorrow evening.” It was from my son. I don’t think I’ve ever had a birthday party. I’ve had birthday presents and I’ve arranged birthday parties but I’ve never had one. I have never blown out candles on a birthday cake that was meant for me. I text back, “I would love to but I’m off to the Caribbean with my toy boy.” He text back, “Oh come on. The tickets won’t go to waste.“ I thought I better text back and put him out of his misery. I said, “I’d love to come. Thank you.” He text back, “Okay but you’ll be here on your own cause I’m off to the Caribbean!
