crazymomof4 Posted September 13, 2008 Report Share Posted September 13, 2008 this week, i finally got the doc to do the "tests" for adhd in my 6 yr old daughter. my 14 yr old son has severe adhd, my ex husband was against him being on meds for it. but their 12 yr old sister arrears not to have it. at least not the hyper part. so since my ex and i are no longer together, i decided that i would be willing to give medication a try. the first night they took their pills was last night. funny enough, they both slept through the night. both children normally get up 3-4 times a night, so this was a huge blessing. now i know it is only night 2, but i am feelign real hopefull that the medication will help. i have tried no sugar for either of them, it helped a little, but not that much. i have tried all kinds of different parenting tactics, again to no avail. so this is almost my "last chance" even though if it doesnt help i cant quit, but it is so hard to deal with....... generus 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
