Coping with the pressure of existence

For some years I've coped simply by feeding my brain mindless drivel, though I don't feel it works for me any more perhaps you could try it. I tend to "tick" when a thought comes to the forefront of my mind, I don't know how I've developed this mechanism but for the most part it abolishes the thought.

When I've felt better than I do now I used to go out to the woods or to the City to clear my head, or give myself very harsh punishments which made thinking about my situation difficult.
