Lindamomof7
Hi Rs I see a good start, he is listening. Where might you go from there? Maybe a daily checkin with each other face to face, eye to eye. Encourage him to keep on his meds and make sure he understands that drinking will definately interact with his meds. Meds take a little while to adjust to. After some tweeking hopefully he will be on a therapeutic dose to help him. We can't as parents tell our kids not to hang out with certain friends but we can help them realize that maybe they aren't quite the best for them. It will be on his time though and even longer if they are pestered with negativity. Encouragement, support is what we can offer as parents and helping him figure out a path for his future by helping him realize his strengths and possibly pursuing a career or technical school for his interest in mechanics sounds like a good start in helping him feel wonderful about doing something for himself... spiritual_emergency
Hello rs -- I'm not sure if you're still reading here but I came across a very good article related to low-cost or no-cost prescriptions and immediately thought of you and your son. For you or anyone else who may benefit from it, here's the link: Free and Low Price Prescriptions
