dirkborg33
Hello,I am new to this forum..But, I am so mad, I don't know what to do, or who to go to. I have been at this workplace I have loved some 5 years...All of the sudden, HR sent 2 females to my department to work under me. Before, I had guys, and there were no problems AT ALL! Now, these girls are trying to destroy me.(Or make me look stupid) (Even though) I am the number 1 value producer in the company. The company knows this. And these 2 girls are betraying me at every turn they can. I mean every word I say to them is like, it is recorded back to me. We have a meeting once per month with my boss (Who laughs at this whole thing) And HR. Then the girls bash me, eventhough I have really done nothing but to be overly nice to them. Even when I am extra nice to one girl, she thinks I am acting (Not sincere) Does anyone know what is going on here? I have such a huge workload, I can't seem to see the Forest for the Trees with these 2 girls! Thanks so much for any help.Dirk:mad:
Guest ASchwartz
Hi Dirk,Are these girls attractive, are they your age, could some sexual "stuff," like attraction and teasing be going on there??? I don't know, just questions. And, finally, are you over-stressed due to work, ie: work a holic???What do others think??Allan
paula
I agree with you Allan. Not a great deal of information to go off, but it looks to me as if they are trying to lead him down the garden path? What do other's think?

One is close to my age, the other is 8 years younger. I don't detect any teasing going on..If it is, then I have been married too long I guess. I am a work a holic. I have built this part of the company for 5 years. I take extreme pride in my department, and the German in me runs it like a fine Swiss Watch. And yes, I am very over-stressed due to work. The President and my Boss and HR love this about me. Thank you so much..Looking forward to more. Wonderful responses. I appreciate them.Dirk

dirkborg33
Hard to tell the cause(s) of the harassment from the given info, but envy or some kind of misreading, perhaps?? Well whatever it may be, if I were you I'd first try to tell the girls in some way that their attitude is unproductive and simply unacceptable; and that I'd prefer to cooperate rather than to disrespect each other. And, if your boss is refusing to believe the situation you are in, how about keeping a detailed log of what's been happening. It'll be a good proof, I think.I have explained to them that their attitude is unproductive and simply unacceptable (In a nice way via HR dept). And to them as well. They are working a lot harder. They have admitted with everyone in the room that my job is harder than theirs. Of course it is. I am keeping a very detailed log. Thank you! Files on them both, tight. There may be some kind of envy. They are aware, with all the pictures in my oversized office, on the walls, that I used to be a televison producer for someone very famous. I can't even tell you who it is, because it might reveal who I am in this forum. Thanks so much for the great words.I appreciate it.Dirk Edited October 15, 2008 by dirkborg33 Left out a word or two. Guest ASchwartz
Yes, I think that keeping a log or "file" on them is enormously important. It's a good deterrant and can help prevent you from feeling helpless. It is also good that they seem to have "gotten the message" and settled down to working hard. You take great pride in work but are you sure that your "work a holism" is good for you? What do you do for liesure, relaxation and pleasure?Allan
