This only seems to effect a small amount of guys. Even though the percentage of guys with small or micro penises is pretty low it still amounts to a few million guys even if you only count the USA, worldwide it's even more.

So why do groups like these only attract a very small amount of users? I mean let's say there were a million guys in the US with small dicks, even if only 10% of them came here it would still be 100,000 guys. That's a lot. I'm not sure how many guys come here to read these forums but very few seem to post regularly. A lot of time people like to lurk in the background but never post anything so it's hard to say.

This place caters to more than just penis problems so it's even harder to discern the numbers. Looking at the numbers this sub forum is the busiest one on this site.

Even in the other groups I used to go to like Measurection, Altnet and MTD forums there was a small group of regulars and one or two women. Most of the guys seem to be gay or bi for some reason.

I know that penis insecurity is widespread among guys average and below and sometimes guys above average but usually not to the point where it effects their daily life or their sex life. So there isn't much need for them to come to places like this.

I wonder how many guys end up committing suicide over this? that's a number we will never know. I would guess that even if someone did do it for that reason he wouldn't let people know that was the reason. I know a few guys express suicidal feelings on here. I've thought about it a lot myself. I've had periods in the last 20 years or so when it was pretty much all I thought about. During the 90's I would sit at work and think about all the different ways I could kill myself. I'm still here though and my life now is way worse now than it was then.

It gets to a point where thoughts of suicide become a comfort. I think to myself it doesn't matter how shitty my life gets because it's all going to be over soon then none of this will matter and women won't be able to hurt me anymore with their words and actions.

Some people are meant for this world and others not so much. You can see it w little children. Some are active and engaged in the world and not easily frightened and others are just the opposite.

Look at that show Shark Tank. Some people really thrive economically where others cannot hold down even a minimum wage job. It's just all who ya are. Some guys are tough as nails and that is who women are attracted to. I'm talking about guys that know how to win. Everyone loves a winner. No one wants any part of a loser. Sad but true. Unless you can figure out how to be a winner.

It's difficult. First you must identify what they are, which in itself can be a challenge if your defence mechanisms are up. Then you have to accept the particular characteristic, with all of it's implications, and let it be a part of you.

Most of us live in denial, and refuse to come to terms with our negative attributes because it means admitting defeat. We instead fantasise about a new self and live as him, or refuse to live until we become him. Some people simply try to ignore it and formulate a new cognitive identity excluding their negative attributes. Before we know it we've manufactured ir exaggerated so many desirable traits we've lost ourselves. This disconnect with our psyche only magnifies anxiety since it goes unchecked.

After acceptance, our anxiety in regards to the matter should reduce, since we adopt it into our cognitive schema we're able to put it into perspective. We will still feel like shit for being let's say, ugly or small penis, but because the anxiety should lessen we have less to displace. We can instead embrace that particular imperfection and try to work with it.

We can't undo our upbringing or change much of our subconscious selves. So, if we've been predisposed then conditioned on a subconscious level during childhood to react badly to stressors or have poor self view, it's likely to stay like that.

It would help if you saw a therapist to guide you through the introspection. It can be quite esoteric and exhausting. These things are always difficult and never easy, but that's why we all ended up here right?

(Note: This is why I've thoroughly disagreed with the notion that we've been conditioned by the media and peers to behave in certain ways. Where this does happen in part, it wouldn't explain our individual differences. The media and society at large has perpetrated that size matters. Why are only a minority of us here?)
