3eto
How is it possible?
IrmaJean
Could you elaborate a bit more, if possible, 3eto? How are you "overly nostalgic?"
3eto
Take this thread, for example. I wrote it with an overly nostalgic tone of voice:http://www.city-data...-following.htmlAlso, actually, back in 2012-13, I looked back on my grade school days in an overly nostalgic manner. 3eto
That thread I posted about being rejected on Facebook is more proof of my overly nostalgic character.
everyonematters
I used to be very very very nostalgic. I am even now nostalgic... But I am aware of it and ever since I have realised, that nostalgia is about being attached to things and has nothing to do with love, it became easier for me to stop being so nostalgic...at least I catch myself being so and gain control soon. Like with many things in life, it helps to see things for what they are.
IrmaJean
Maybe it helps to not place judgment on your feelings too? We can feel a certain way, be aware of it, respect it, and not have to act on the feeling. This is not always easy, I understand, but it's possible.Take care, 3eto. everyonematters
3eto
My brain works like this: "When you are going through bad times, just idealize an era in your life and cry about the loss of it."
3eto
I have this problem of adjusting to phases. I've been like this for a long time. I remember being thirteen and feeling sad about not being able to get away with childish things anymore and now that I'm eighteen and turning nineteen, I'm sad that I can no longer get away with teenybopper things anymore. BTW, here's a song I connect with my situation. It may be a widow's song, but I give it my own meaning:
