i feel weird giving you any help or info but thats only because you're the same age as my mum. in your post you say that you've tried to keep your children out of this: My mum was very similar to you, with all the moving and bickering with neighbours and unreliable job or income. because you love your children obviously, is there anyway that you can force yourself to stay with a doctor for there benefit. honestly i am not trying to call you a bad parent but even though my mum tried to protect us kids from her out breaks it never worked. sometimes it got so bad that my mum wouldn't move from bed for days. at one point my eldest brother had to get a job to support us 5 kids. i was only 10 at the time and well us other kids used to look after my 3yr old severely disabled brother. all i can say is this has really afftected me I am totally screwed up a nd suffer from mental hospital revolving door syndrome. i know it must feel completly impossible to do this but just try for your kids.
