WallY Posted August 21, 2008 Report Share Posted August 21, 2008 i was recently diagnosed with ADHD affiliated with symptoms of schizophrenia. hopefully, the treatment team i have are on top of discovering a means of therapy. if anyone has any suggestions please post or email me. Mark Posted August 21, 2008 Report Share Posted August 21, 2008 Both ADHD and Schizophrenia are generally treated with medications. Stimulant medications (and some non-stimulant medications) are used to promote the ability to concentrate better in ADHD, and a variety of medications (but primarily what are thought of as the Atypical Antipsychotics") are used to combat the hallucinations and delusions characteristic of (paranoid) schizophrenia. There are forms of psychotherapy that can be very helpful, but none are considered primary means of therapy. Does that help?
