Alone...

The worst memory I remember is it was valentines day at school (4th grade) and everyone passed out candy to each other. I remember everyone in class gave each other candy and no one gave me any candy at all. I thought I was doing good in school but I realized I was alone. I never coped with that. I still can't forget and I still don't have any friends even today.

I don't talk much and I usually sit by myself so I always end up blaming myself for what happened.

I can understand you.I have bad memories from school. When I was 9th grade I was all alone and I didnt talk with my classmates at all.(I still dont talk a lot) This memories still bother me somethimes, but with time things get better. It will become better for you too.Dont blame yourself for things happening so long ago.I see now you dont have friends, but someday you will find people who really care about you.

Take care:)

Hi cuppycakes. :)

I'm sorry you're feeling so sad. :) I struggled to make friends in school too. My daughter also struggles a lot with this. I know it can be very painful. I would think the teachers would always be certain that all the children received valentine's cards and/or candy. I'm sorry that you felt left out.

I understand it can be difficult to start up new conversations. Do you think you could challenge yourself to sit at a table with the others? This way you could give yourself the opportunity to talk to others and become more comfortable. What are your interests and passions? These can be great starter conversations. Likely the others students don't know you and once they do they would see all of your gifts. In the meantime, I hope you can offer yourself some comfort and encouragement.

We are here to support you, CC. Take care.
