Why does penis size vary so much?

There's nothing else quite like it.

Wrist circumference varies from 6-7" with very, very few outliers. Height ranges from 5'6" - 6'4" (which is the same sort of variation as wrist size). Foot size, skull circumference, hand length, etc. Yet penis size can quite easily range from 4" - 7" -- almost double the size! And it is an organ of huge functional importance. Why would nature be so flippant with the variation in size of the penis?

You know Mess I have wondered that exact same thing. Penis can be from 3 to 9 inches in the extreme. There is no others variation like it. My only speculation might be from an evolutionary perspective a guy w extremely small hands might not survive but a small penis could.

Humans have huge penises compared to other primates because of sexual selection.

Across many millenia of pre-history, according to geneticists, only about 40% of men managed to pass their genes along.

Perhaps the range of sizes reflects the range of male strategies for getting into that lucky minority.

I thought the most widely accepted hypothesis is that there was a time when women would be polygamous and that each male would compete with their penises to quite literally plunge out the competing male's sperm (hence the shape of the bellend)

Well there are some comparisons, there are extremely ugly and very good looking people. There are tall and very short people, also there are people with very low IQ vs people with very high IQ. My conclusion is nature is fucked and the faster this pointless existence ends the better…there is no rational or fair game in this bs reality, its all just a dice roll.

Also a very important one is being born rich/well off and born poor, if you are born poor in this world chances are you will die poor 90% of the time and your life will be much much harder no matter what you do.

Environmental as well as genetic...? Nurture as well as nature.

wrist circumference actually varies a little more than that, and same with height; though i might agree that penis size has a greater range.
