I've made another goal for me, which is to daily minimize the pile of dirty dishes in the sink before going to bed at night. I've made this goal a few days ago, and so far I've improved the situation. I know this is a big help to my husband, who does the cooking most of the time. And sometimes, he cooks and then does all the dishes as well.

I'm changing that now.:)

The way I do it is to look at washing the dishes as being the same as cooking: you can't eat without someone cooking first, so how can you eat without someone doing the dishes afterwards?

Of course, it's easier for me be good about this: I only have one of each kind of dish, at the moment. So I have to wash them after each meal. ;-)

Actually, I've been meaning to put away all the extra dishes. That way we won't be tempted to forego washing them because we HAVE to wash them, otherwise we won't be able to use anything.

That's an interesting phrase, malign: easier to be good. Maybe that's what I need to think about. Find ways to be good/do good more easily.
