Well, I didn't wake up in the middle of the night, and I got up about an hour ago. It's a bright morning. I have a slight headache though, probably from the weather---hot and humid, amidst the monsoon rain.

Last night there was a lot of yellling and crying at our neighbors next door. Money problems, pointing fingers. From what I know, they have their daughter, a mom of two young kids, living with them. The daughter got swindled out of a huge amount of money, and now her parents are forced to shoulder the everyday expenses while her husband who's overseas is now paying money they owe someone. But they are already struggling to pay the rent, the bills, so you can imagine the tension....

Really, money (or lack of it) causes so much stress in a family, and it's often the root cause of so many other problems. I can feel their frustration and loss of control even though I couldn't see them. Because it's our problem too. Money. I guess I'm lucky my husband and I haven't quarrelled about it in awhile. I told him this, as we were about to sleep. So far, so good.
