Well, my neighbor's gate has been left open more often nowadays and so their dog was able to use our front driveway as toilet. I think I was able to be casual and indirect in reminding my neighbor about it this morning, and so far, my front remains clean.

Before I did it, I remember ranting to my mom just recently about it. And she said that why don't I just tell them so. Easier said than done! In my country, people are too sensitive when it comes to straight forward corrections and criticisms. If you can't say what you have to say indirectly, then might as well not say anything at all. And when I want to speak my mind about a wrong, I get so emotional that I know if I said anything I will come on too seriously and strongly. Then my mom said in our native language, "Come on, you can do it!"

So, this morning, after some hesitation, I talked. Casually. I hoped. Well, looks like it worked.

It's very hard work being delicate/casual like this, when dog craps on the pavement is one of the things that I hate the most in the world.
