This is all state based as each state's "Code" defines them. In some states, they are one and the same, in others, there are differences. For example, in some states, a mental health advanced directive is what you have already done (which was very smart)--- in others, a mental health directive is a legal decision made by the courts or a policy statement promulgated from a specific state department.Hope this brief answer helps,David Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
