Actually wearing a mask when winter colds are about seems like a good idea, I haven't got a problem with it, especially on public transport - but it seems like a lot of people can't cope with it.2 points

I have done some recent reading on this and it seems there is a new variant that is being watched carefully...30 new mutations. They also said they didn't expect it to go back to the madness, so to be speak, because we just aren't in the same space as we were back then. But that it's somewhat concerning that this thing seems to mutate out of the blue. It seems that COVID will be around for a very long time, unfortunately. I recently flew and definitely masked up for that.2 points

Job fears
LaLa and one other reacted to Victimorthecrime for a topic
@LaLa I am ok đ I have my ups and downs like anyone but I am doing fine. The pandemic sent me to work at home (WAH) and itâs been a change, mostly good, but sometimes interacting with people remotely gets tiresome. Itâs fertile ground for misunderstanding. Nothing can replace being able to look someone in the eye, assessing if they are just having a bad day or if thereâs a bigger problem. other than that just life and taking care of business, getting some work done on the house. That kind of stuff. How have you been? The last thing I recall you left a job or volunteer work that you were displeased with. Let me know what else is been going on.2 points -

My tiny micro penis
ismelllikecheese reacted to LittleMan4 for a topic
Hi guys, I haven't been on here in a while. I've been feeling really frustrated and mad lately about my tiny micro penis. I feel like I desperately need a friend to talk to or a therapist to manage all of the feelings that I keep pent up inside of me about my micro penis. I'm only 3 inches hard and I am so ashamed of it! I live with my tiny penis shame and I think about it almost 24/7! All I ever do is masturbate because I get rejected and called a little dick loser by everyone! Just needing to vent tonight. I've been realizing how much it affects everything else in my life. So hard to admit that but it's the truth. If anyone wants to chat message me.1 point -

Smoke from Canadian wildfires đ

I'm sorry for the late response. Yes, the smog here was so awful. The girls were so distressed. We have had two rounds of it now and I really hope this isn't the new normal. The things in life that we take for granted like clean air to breathe...1 point -
Especially, wholeheartedly the first point. I have personally witnessed this attitude from two superficially diametrically opposite people: 1) A new age hippie pothead blessed with better than average looks who believed you can âwillâ positive or negative things in your life, and that anything bad is your fault. Except ironically, for his own life, everything bad was always someone elseâs fault. 2) An evangelical born again Christian totally enamored of âprosperity gospelâ, the belief that if good things arenât happening in your life, itâs because your faith in Jesus isnât strong enough or you must be sinning. Whatâs the difference in these two pictures? Theyâre the same picture.1 point

The ugliest manifestation of this attitude is Lookism. The idea you are ugly or deformed because of something you mustâve caused, whether in a previous life or the here-and-now. Oh you have a small penis? That guarantees youâre going to be the next Adolf Hitler or Donald Trump. You must have eaten a baby in a previous life.1 point

ONLINE THERAPY SESSIONS: EFFECTIVE OR NOT?
Victimorthecrime reacted to IrmaJean for a topic
Welcome, Bonnyboo. I think it may depend on the person and their current needs. My daughter does much better with telehealth psychiatric appointments than she does in person. I have noticed she talks and interacts more with the therapist when she is home rather than in the office. But that may not be true for others. Telehealth visits could also be a stepping stone that helps someone get used to therapy and possibly gets them ready for face-to-face, which may be more ideal in the long run. I definitely agree it's a good idea to know the therapist well and be certain they are reputable. I hope whatever you decide it proves to be helpful.1 point -

Saw a quote on the net today, attributed to the âPrussian Armyâ. Unable to verify but thought it interesting: âI distinguish four types. There are clever, stupid, hardworking, and lazy officers. Usually two characteristics are combined. Some are clever and hardworking; their place is the General Staff. The next ones are stupid and lazy; they make up 90% of every army and are suited to routine duties. Anyone who is both clever and lazy is qualified for the highest leadership duties because he possesses the mental clarity and strength of nerve necessary for difficult decisions. One must beware of anyone who is both stupid and hardworking; he must not be entrusted with any responsibility because he will always only cause damage.â I found this remarkable. I think it is universally applicable to any organization. Iâm my experience in private business you could propose the following: 1. Clever/Lazy - business executives, owners, innovators 2. Clever/Hardworking - operations supervisors, IT, support staff, analysts 3. Stupid/Hardworking - ALL middle managers, bureaucrats, consultants, project managers, engineers, doctors, dentists, anyone who âlives to workâ 4. Stupid/Lazy - the vast majority of human beings not lucky enough to land in category #1 and sociosexually normalized enough to not fall into the loser/dweeb/beta categories #2, 3.1 point

Smoke from Canadian wildfires đ
IrmaJean reacted to Victimorthecrime for a topic
@IrmaJeanor anyone else: are you experiencing experiencing smoke from the Canadian wildfires your where you live? I went out last night to see some music and meet up with some friends and it was unbelievable.. Itâs about like every third or fourth house and having a barbecue.. The smoke was a haze in the air everywhere. Today I am actually feeling it in my lungs. Itâs a surreal. All this progress you hear about in the world and suddenly we lost the ability to even put out a fire!0 points
