i can remember some of my tables.....

What's weird is that I've done them so often I don't remember them as tables any more. I have to think to arrange them in sequence. Now it's like knowing the name of a color, you either do or you don't.

I think i know what ya mean...I used to know them all off by heart when I was small and I was the same with my spellings!! I used to win all the spelling competitions in school!!!

Well, too, spelling in English isn't really all that ... rule-based. It takes a bunch of different inputs, like knowing the roots of words and meaning in context and memorization and on occasion, sheer luck. So it's left-brained, just because it's language, but it's not very mathematical ...

Other languages are different. Most of them only have one spelling per sound, for instance.
