Well, I don't think I've heard of someone dying directly because of lack of sleep, but it can make you pretty sick.

Sweety, many of our friends have that exact problem, not because of a bad dream, but because their dreams contain some horrible memories. But all of them still sleep at least some; a body needs rest.
