i feel so unhappy right now. but that's nothing new i suppose. i feel so stuck and horrible horrible horrible. all my roomates are gone out to a party. i stayed home to try get some art done. i've been sitting staring at a blank sheet of paper for 2 hours now. i'm so uninspired. i was like this during the summer too. i hoped eveything would go back to normal and i'd be able to not be so blocked when i started college but i'm still the same. i really don't know what to do. i have no interest in what i'm doing right now.. i wish it was easier for me to motivate myself. this sucks. i feel very guilty. i obviously shouldn't be in this college. i think i might leave. i wonder if i were to run away on my own right now, what would happen? i could just disappear, noone would notice anyway, and move to somewhere else in ireland where noone knows me and i wouldn't have to go to college. i want to disappear.

It's more common to draw a hall in one point perspective

Hall.jpg

Rooms are either one or two point, depending on where the viewer stands.

To get 2 point perspective in a corridor, you'd have to be very close to one of the walls before you could see 2 perspective points.

Can you see how the viewer in the above drawing is standing in the exact middle of the hall? That is a one point perspective situation.

Here ye go. Look at the very top of the columns where there is a square piece.... If you follow that angle, you will get the second vanishing point. Oh! the ceiling beams point that way too. The primary vanishing point is down the end of the hall.

I'm sorry :(. It's only important if you want to be able to have building features in your artwork.

The handiest thing is to have a piece of plexiglass that you can hold up then draw directly on with an overhead projector marker. Then you just copy the lines on your paper. It works for anything. Buildings, people, dogs in perspective (if they'll stay still a minute!!).

You can do it brave doggie!!!!! Get yer arty groove on, not yer Lbrain-no-way brakes... it's all in where ye are in your head.

[hearing the stuff you have to hear at home does NOT help.]

Just keep feeling. Sometimes it will be sad :(, sometimes it will be fearful , but if it is authentic, you can tie it to your art elements and express the truth freely.....

I'm gonna go walk up a hill--- are you OK?
